Planters
This is not your typical half barrel planter. I cut the barrel in half lengthwise. The metal bands are painted black. The barrel itself is stained and I used a couple of staves for a stand. These don't just have to be used for a planter. I think they would make a pretty neat cooler to ice up your favorite beverages for a BBQ or an outdoor party. They could be used for storage like toys. I even think that if I put a blanket in it, my dog would sleep in it. These are selling for $80.

This candle holder is made from a stave from a used wine barrel. The stave itself can be wider or narrower. It takes many staves to make a barrel and they are in different sizes. The stave is stained and then a given a coat of polyurethane to protect. This candle holder sells for $30.
